Abstract
Violence takes multiple forms from shouting, insults and threats, to humiliation, beatings and sexual abuse, including discrimination and neglect. In all cases, it leaves severe physical, psychological and social consequences, eroding the ability to develop care mechanisms and lifelong skills. The objective of this research is to identify the presence of violence against children and adolescents in family parenting patterns. This is a social action research, where violence is analyzed from the opinions of children. Theories of violence, sociological perspective, gender and self-esteem are highlighted. Instruments are used, creating a space for participation for people of different age groups to share experiences in a playful way. Social relations are explored and society as it is experienced is described. In the analysis of results, it is highlighted that we live in a society where there are not only rights but also duties, where adults must understand that they are not only providers of material comforts, but also control and improve discipline by example at home, avoiding the consumption of alcohol, drugs or incurring unnecessary consumption that affect the economy of the household causing over-indebtedness. Considering that permanent recreational activities decrease aggressiveness, in addition, the intervention of other institutions both in the area of psychology and medicine improves coexistence.
