Abstract

Every social organism for the development of its multiple activities requires to carry out an effective administrative management. The purpose of this work is to determine Critical Success Factors for the administrative management of the agricultural storage and distribution centers located in Tosagua, Manabí province. The methodology used is a descriptive in scope and qualitative approach. Its execution was based on the phenomenological method to address the problem of study from the experiences of seven managers of agricultural storage and distribution centers. The in-depth interview was used as a research instrument, based on a list of open questions about the external and internal environments. As a result of the investigation, the following Critical Success Factors emerged: Financial solvency, fair trade, operational capacity, quality, technology and knowledge. These factors are the result of the interaction between the external and industrial environments with the administrative system, which need to be considered by the managers of the storage and distribution centers as soon as possible in order to perform a successful management.
