Efficiency and effectiveness of the citizen attention unit of the education district 13D06 Junín- Bolívar period 2019-2020

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the Citizen Attention Unit of the Education District 13D06 Junín-Bolivar to identify existing shortcomings. Two instruments were applied: on the one hand, an interview was applied to the analyst responsible for this district unit to find out what services they offer to citizens, and, on the other hand, to find out the level of user satisfaction, a survey based on in the methodological guide for the measurement and evaluation of the perception of the quality of public services. The results show that in this district unit there are several drawbacks such as: a considerable rate of dissatisfaction in some users due to lack of clarity of information provided; discomfort because the requirements or doubts for which the user attends this district unit are not fully attended to or in some cases take a long time. All the shortcomings found can serve for this district unit to analyze the processes that are not being carried out efficiently, and thus improve the efficiency and effectiveness that as public servants they have the obligation to offer to the citizenry.

Doctor in Languages and Cultures at the University of Córdoba, Spain. Master in Educational Management, Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in Basic Education. Teacher of Language and Communication in the Public Administration Career of the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí "Manuel Félix López". 

In addition to teaching, she is part of the editorial committee of the university where she works, she works as a reviewer of Writing and style of the magazine ESPAMCIENCIA and of books published by Editorial Humus. Twenty-eight years of teaching experience at basic, high school and higher levels.
